What you need to know about Digital Experiences (DX) at the Bank of Canada
The Bank of Canada is seeking a Senior Developer, Platform & Workflow Delivery to join the Digital Experiences (DX)team.
DX operates and evolves the Bank’s core digital publishing ecosystem, spanning web infrastructure, websites, web applications, data delivery, and the pipelines that support market-sensitive and policy-cycle releases.
DX services operate at enterprise scale, supporting fixed delivery events such as Fixed Announcement Dates and major publications, alongside high-volume data services like Valet (handling~20–30M calls per month). The ecosystem includes public websites ( bankofcanada.ca, www.bankofcanadamuseum.ca ), internal platforms (intranet), and core data and publishing services, including Azure DataMart and the Valet API, as well as the workflows and tools that enable reliable policy-cycle delivery.
How this role fits within the team
This role focuses primarily on building and evolving the web applications, publishing workflows, and internal tools that run on top of the Bank’s web platforms. It emphasizes application behavior, workflow design, usability, and feature delivery, while relying on shared platform and integration capabilities provided by complementary roles.
DX also supports governed AI-enabled workflows as part of the Bank’s broader digital capabilities. In this role, you will contribute by developing practical workflow and application solutions that responsibly leverage approved language-model services, operating within established governance and security frameworks.

Education and experience
A degree or diploma in computer science, software engineering, or a related field is preferred, though an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Candidates currently completing a relevant degree may also be considered if they can demonstrate applied experience through co-op terms, internships, or project work.
This position typically requires 5–7 years of relevant software development experience delivering production web applications and workflow tooling. Exceptional candidates with fewer years of experience may also be considered if they demonstrate equivalent capability through complex production work, workflow/tooling delivery, and operational support.

Language requirement
The Bank’s work environment is conducive to the use of both of Canada’s official languages - English and French. Although the position language requirement is English or French essential, we do encourage everyone to improve their second language proficiency for future career growth and to contribute towards fostering a bilingual environment.
