Senior Developer

Location: Hyderabad, India Work Arrangement: Hybrid | 3 Days in Office, 2 Days Remote

About the Role

The Senior Developer is responsible for the overall maintenance and development of OnBase products related to Government, Financial Services, and Cross-Industry. This role applies principles of software engineering to the design, development, maintenance, testing, and evaluation of software — ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality software within release timelines and guidelines.

This role requires direct customer interaction with Hyland's global customer base. Flexibility in working hours is required to provide the necessary level of service across time zones.

Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do.

• Develop complex code based on functional specifications for OnBase products; complete logic and algorithm design in alignment with established standards and translate software requirements into detailed design specifications, ensuring full adherence to requirements.
• Perform complex peer code reviews and analysis; provide insight on the broader impact of software changes; incorporate business value and identify the broader impact to the software while providing technical guidance to other team members.
• Create and apply automated tests and test principles — including unit tests — to software changes; test code to verify it meets technical specifications before submitting to code review; contribute to the implementation of a delivery pipeline including test automation, security, and performance.
• Influence and lead on team standards, processes, and events including planning, work estimation, solution demos, reviews, and implementation design discussions; make recommendations for internal process improvements and product documentation.
• Research complex escalations for production issues or software code issues to ensure the stability of the application; implement development standards to ensure compliance with product and industry practices and regulations.
• Mentor, coach, train, and provide feedback to other team members; may provide feedback to leadership on technical abilities of the team; engage with Hyland's global customer base with flexibility in working hours to deliver the necessary level of service.

Role Essentials

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with experience in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Significant demonstrated experience with C# on .NET and .NET Framework, ASP.NET, and/or Swift and Xcode/iOS development; experience working in a Windows development environment.
• Demonstrated experience with build environments, delivery pipelines, test automation, and continuous integration tools; manual software testing skills required.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills with the ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills with a professional demeanor; demonstrated ability to influence, motivate, and mobilize team members and business partners.

What We'd Like to See

• Experience with C++ or media streaming technologies; exposure to open-source tools and platforms.
• Experience with Jenkins and/or GitHub Actions pipelines; experience with NUnit/XUnit and Selenium for test automation.
• Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter and API testing tools such as Postman/Bruno; experience with continuous software delivery practices.
• Strong ability to use original thinking to translate goals into the implementation of new ideas and design solutions; passionate, competitive, and intellectually curious.
• Experience in software application testing tools, methodologies, and process frameworks; a sharp, fast learner with technology curiosity and aptitude.
