Position Summary

HCLTech is seeking an SAP Core Services Technical Junior Consultant with 2–4 years of SAP implementation experience. The role supports SAP S/4HANA programs across Greenfield and Brownfield transformations within the steel manufacturing industry.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Support SAP Basis and core technical administration activities.
• Participate in SAP S/4HANA implementation, migration and upgrade projects.
• Assist in system installations, refreshes, transports and monitoring.
• Support incident management, root cause analysis and issue resolution.
• Coordinate with functional consultants during testing and deployments.
• Monitor system performance and recommend optimization actions.
• Support security, authorization and audit compliance activities.
• Assist in integration monitoring and technical troubleshooting.
• Prepare technical documentation, SOPs and knowledge articles.
• Participate in cutover, hypercare and go-live support activities.

Required Skills

• SAP Basis administration knowledge.
• SAP S/4HANA architecture fundamentals.
• Transport Management System (TMS).
• SAP HANA database administration basics.
• Client copy, system refresh and backup concepts.
• Job scheduling and monitoring tools.
• Understanding of SAP Fiori landscape and connectivity.
• Exposure to cloud and on-premise SAP environments.

Steel Industry Knowledge

• Understanding of steel manufacturing business processes.
• Awareness of procurement, production, inventory, quality and sales cycles.
• Knowledge of plant operations and supply chain processes.

Education & Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline. SAP certification in SAP S/4HANA/Basis is preferred.

Behavioral Competencies

Strong analytical skills, communication abilities, stakeholder management, teamwork orientation and willingness to learn new SAP technologies.
