The Conversational Banking portfolio is made of three teams who share a single purpose - to brilliantly serve customers through a seamless, integrated communication platform, that drives efficiency and operational excellence for bankers and colleague support teams.

This is a hybrid role based in Wellington or Auckland with three days in the office and two where you can work flexibly. Office anchor days are Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

What is the team culture and environment like?

We’re a collaborative bunch who value open, honest conversations and continuous improvement. What projects / work will the candidate be working on now and into the next year?

  • Development of Amazon Connect Platform and surrounding technologies.

  • Expand Gen AI usage for conversational banking.

  • Improve and uplift our tech stack using industry standard practices.

  • Expand our automated testing suite.

What is your management style?

My management style is collaborative and inclusive. I believe in giving everyone equal opportunities, to contribute and grow. I like to set clear expectations and provide guidance when needed. I trust my team to take ownership and deliver results. Open communication and mutual respect are very important for me.

What technical skills are required for this role?

  • AWS and cloud technologies

  • RESTful API development

  • Java and/or NodeJs

  • React (Optional)

  • TypeScript (Optional)

What will success look like for the candidate in this role?
