At Arctic Wolf, you won’t just watch the cybersecurity industry evolve – you'll help lead the change. Our global Pack is made up of people who thrive on solving hard problems, moving fast, and building technology that protects organizations around the world. We’re proud to be recognized by Forbes, CNBC, Fortune, CRN, Gartner Peer Insights and IDC MarketScape – but what matters most is the work behind it: delivering real outcomes for customers through award winning innovation like our Aurora Platform.
If you’re looking for meaningful work, smart teammates and the chance to make a real impact in a high-growth company that’s redefining security operations, Arctic Wolf is the right place for you!
Our mission is simple: End Cyber Risk. We’re looking for a Senior Developer to be part of making thiis happen.
and Objective
We are looking for an experienced Sr. Developer 2 to join our centralised Quality Engineering team and work with us to build and expand the capabilities of our testing platform. As a senior developer you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and seamless delivery of quality engineering tools across diverse teams and platforms.
This role is ideal for a developer with Senior SDET, DevOps/SRE or platform engineering experience (or strong developer experience working closely with those disciplines), and a deep appreciation for engineering with quality.
You will design and build tools used broadly across R&D, enabling teams to increase coverage, reduce manual effort, improve signal, and establish consistent automated quality gates.
About the Team
Our team, Quality Engineering, partners with product development R&D teams to improve software quality through scalable tooling, automation, and modern engineering practices. Our “customers” are developers and QEs across R&D. We build highly functional tools and frameworks that help teams test products better and ship with confidence, e.g., regression testing frameworks, performance testing tools, contract testing frameworks, and automated quality gates embedded in CI/CD pipelines.
We also produce high-fidelity test data that closely mimics production data to enable realistic testing, and we integrate third-party platforms (e.g., SonarQube, Wiz, Xray) to expand coverage and automate end-to-end quality workflows.
Responsibilities
You will excel in this role if you are:
A strong software developer with deep expertise in test and quality engineering, testing methodologies, understand the full software development lifecycle and can write production-quality tools
Experienced in designing and building large-scale test automation frameworks. You’ve tackled complex challenges in test infrastructure, test data management and test orchestration
Proficient in modern programming languages and software engineering practices, and comfortable working across multiple technology stacks. Experience or strong aptitude with Python, Typescript, and/or Go is a plus.
Understand how testing and quality assurance contribute to security and data integrity
Excellent communicator who can translate technical complexity into clear explanations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Enjoy collaborating within your own team and across other teams
A system thinker who can see how testing tools and practices impact the broader engineering organization
Experience with or strong interest in AI/ML applications within software development and quality engineering, whether in intelligent test development, anomaly detection or smart reporting, is a strong plus.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Proactive, detail-oriented and driven by impact
Experience and Requirements
5+ years of experience as a software developer, DevOps engineer, SDET or equivalent role
Architect, design and build comprehensive software solutions to automate a variety of testing methods (functional, non-functional - performance, security testing) at scale
Experience with developing UI and API test automation using Pytest, Playwright, Cypress or similar tools
Hands-on experience with non-functional testing including performance, scalability, localization, and security testing. Experience using tools such as Locust, JMeter, k6, or equivalent for performance, and hands-on integration experience with Snyk, SonarQube, Wiz or equivalent for SAST, SCA etc.
Lead the design and development of specialized testing frameworks and infrastructure that enable efficient, reliable, and maintainable automated testing across multiple product teams
Demonstrable knowledge and experience with modern programming languages such as Python, Javascript/Typescript, Go etc.
Strong experience with developing tools for CICD pipeline such as Github Actions, Jenkins, Gitlab etc.
Drive adoption and best practices for in-house developed and third party tools by partnering with development teams
Partner with QE and dev teams and cross-functional stakeholders to understand testing challenges and deliver tailored automation solutions
Mentor and guide Quality Engineers on best practices for test automation, code quality and framework usage. Develop, maintain and execute training on QE practices and tool usage
Conduct thorough code reviews and actively participate in design discussions
Drive continuous improvement of testing tools and infrastructure
On-Camera Policy
To support a fair, transparent, and engaging interview experience, candidates interviewing remotely are expected to be on camera during all video interviews. Being on camera fosters authentic connection, improves communication, and allows for full engagement from both candidates and interviewers. We understand that technical, bandwidth, or location-related challenges may occasionally prevent video use. If this applies, candidates are required to notify us in advance so we can explore appropriate accommodations.
