The Reserve Bank of Australia is seeking an experienced Senior Desktop Support Analyst to join our End User Computing team on a 2-year fixed term contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for a customer-focused IT professional who thrives in a modern Microsoft environment and enjoys solving complex technical challenges. You will play a key role in supporting and enhancing our Windows 11 endpoint environment, helping deliver a secure, reliable, and high-quality technology experience for staff across the Bank.

Working within a highly skilled team, you will provide advanced desktop support, contribute to endpoint management initiatives, and act as a technical escalation point while maintaining a strong customer-first approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 2 and Level 3 desktop support for Windows 11 endpoints across the organisation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, operating system and application issues.
  • Support and administer Microsoft Intune for device management, application deployment, compliance policies and endpoint configuration.
  • Assist with the ongoing management and optimisation of the Bank's modern workplace environment.
  • Support Microsoft 365 applications and services, including Teams, Outlook, OneDrive and Office applications.
  • Ensure endpoint security policies and configurations are maintained in accordance with organisational standards.
  • Deploy, configure and support laptops, desktops, mobile devices and peripheral equipment.
  • Work closely with infrastructure, security and application teams to investigate and resolve technical issues.
  • Contribute to operating procedures, technical documentation and knowledge articles.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
  • Maintain a high level of customer engagement and provide exceptional support to end users at all levels of the organisation.

About You

You are an experienced desktop support professional who combines strong technical capability with outstanding communication and customer service skills.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Extensive experience supporting enterprise Windows desktop environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience supporting and administering Windows 11.
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Intune and modern endpoint management.
  • Experience deploying and supporting Microsoft 365 applications and services.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across desktop, laptop and mobile technologies.
  • Experience managing device lifecycle activities including provisioning, software deployment and endpoint compliance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical users.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and user experience.
  • Experience working within ITIL-aligned support environments.

Desirable

  • Experience with Microsoft Autopilot.
  • Knowledge of endpoint security technologies and Microsoft Defender.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.
  • Familiarity with Azure Active Directory (Microsoft Entra ID).
  • Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments.
