We like dialogue and debate, and we believe everyone has a voice because there are never any bad ideas.

We put the customers at the heart of everything we create, which means:

n every design is created from a place of relentless curiosity

n we dive deep to inhabit the personas of our end users

n we pressure test our concepts against one metric above all others: have we exceeded expectations of those who experience the spaces we create?

We’re also champions for diversity as a design collaborative and Certified B Corporation, drawing from all experience levels and cultural backgrounds within our team of “Bergies” – intentionally staffing project teams inclusively to represent the diverse perspectives of the world around us.

We tend to do our best work with those that feel the same way… Are you that somebody?

n Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture

n NCIDQ Certification or Architecture License is a plus

n 8-10 years of recent experience in retail-based projects

n Proficiency with Revit and Adobe Creative Suite

n Experience with Enscape or similar visualization tools and Miro a plus

Essential Skills and Responsibilities

n Ability to develop and communicate compelling design ideas quickly and effectively, translating creative thinking into thoughtful, buildable solutions in collaboration with project teams, clients, and consultants

n Lead the full design process from conceptual design through Construction Administration as the senior design resource on a project team

n Mentor and guide design team members, providing thoughtful feedback and creative partnership while supporting the development of their technical and design skills

n Initiate innovative design concepts and maintain design intent across multiple projects simultaneously

n Listen actively, ask thoughtful questions, and bring curiosity and sound judgment to design conversations.

n Strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively and work closely with clients while building trust

n Comfortable navigating brand standards and working directly with brand-focused clients

n Experience with fast-paced projects and the ability to meet deadlines with high quality, thoughtful solutions

n Knowledge of retail design trends, including digital technology integration, emerging markets and retail formats, and experiential design

**The base salary will be estimated to be between $95,000 and $120,000 contingent on relevant experience, plus a variable bonus and benefits.

About Bergmeyer | B Corp™

Since our founding in 1975, Bergmeyer has consistently pushed the boundaries of traditional design thinking, evolving from an architecture and interiors firm to become an omni-disciplinary design collaborative made up of architects, interior designers, graphic designers, and brand strategists that create transformative experiences across market boundaries.  Inspired through partnership, thoughtfully creative; driven by curiosity and boldness to fulfill the potential of each relationship; Bergmeyer is implicitly trusting of its people and process, celebrating a culture of inclusion and connection to a shared purpose.
