Responsibilities/Skills/Experience Requirements
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops thoughtful, original ideas grounded in brand strategy; conceptualizes the emotional why behind the Kenmore and DieHard brands and expresses it across creative mediums
- Designs high-impact visual assets across branding, packaging, websites, paid media, email, social media, video, and retailer collateral
- Leads creative execution on seasonal brand platforms including Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Amazon Prime Day, Black Friday/Cyber Week, and back-to-school programs
- Collaborates with the Marketing team to translate positioning and portfolio narratives into visual storytelling, campaign creative, and presentations
- Reviews and approves creative from licensees and OEM partners for brand compliance including packaging, in-box materials, product detail pages, video scripts, and point-of-purchase materials
- Designs product detail pages, A+ content, Amazon brand stores, retail.com assets, email, social, and display creative optimized for conversion
- Leads research and discovery, competitive audits, and category analysis to inform holistic brand storytelling and creative differentiation
- Collaborates with the Marketing team to translate positioning and portfolio narratives into visual storytelling, campaign creative, and presentations
- Serves as creative lead on external agency relationships, photo studios, and production vendors for briefing, feedback, and quality control across campaign production
- Manages time, internal deadlines, business Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) across concurrent projects while maintaining craft standards
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors Degree
- 5-10 years of related experience
- Up to 25% travel
- 18 years of age or older
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- BS/BA/BFA in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Interactive Design, or related field; or equivalent professional experience
- 5+ years of professional design experience with a portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking, brand campaign work, and retail/eCommerce execution
- Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop); strong video and digital production capability
- Experience across Business-to-Business (B2B), Direct-to-Consumer (D2C), retail, and Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) environments
- Ability to operate at an elite level with work that competes with best-in-class brand and design studios
- Demonstrated experience managing brand guidelines across licensees, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), or external partners
- Working knowledge of Amazon A+ content requirements, retail.com content standards, A/B testing, and responsive/mobile-first design
- Strong typographic, compositional, and visual storytelling skills grounded in brand thinking Excellent communication skills with ability to present and defend design rationale to non-design stakeholders, licensees, and senior leadership
- Ability to take direction and constructive criticism, work autonomously, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines under pressure
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Experience in consumer durables, appliances, automotive, or home improvement categories
- Advanced motion design, video editing, or 3D capability
- Experience directing or producing work with Artificial Intelligence (AI) creative tools (image, video, copy generation)
- Familiarity with Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Tableau, or similar performance dashboards
- Experience working within a matrix organization or licensee/OEM-driven brand model
- Prior experience as the design authority in the absence of a creative director or art director
