Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Design Manager to join our team on the Qiddiya Cliff Stabilization Project. The Senior Design Manager – Cliff Stabilization will support the City-wide workstream in leading and coordinating cliff stabilization design activities across the Qiddiya development. The role is focused on managing the interfaces between multiple design consultants and Districts adjacent to the cliff. This position requires excellent coordination skills, a technical background in geotechnical would be preferrable, and the ability to manage interfaces across multiple districts. The senior design manager will have experience at coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams, resolving design conflicts, and ensuring alignment with city-wide cliff stabilization objectives.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Track and manage overlapping scopes of work between districts to avoid duplication and resolve conflicts.

  • Maintain a design register and milestone tracker across all design packages

  • Manage design development for the Cliff Stabilization Program in alignment with the Cliff Stabilisation Roadmap and Stage Gate process.

  • Coordinate input from specialist consultants, ensuring timely delivery of geotechnical design packages.

  • Drafting the design deliverable for each Stage Gate and assist in reviewing and consolidating inputs for Stage Gate submissions

  • Liaise with district development teams to ensure cliff stabilization measures are appropriately integrated with adjacent development plans.

  • Manage the technical review and approval process of consultant deliverables, ensuring alignment with Qiddiya’s engineering standards and processes.

  • Support the development of design scopes, technical briefs, and RFPs for geotechnical and ground investigation contracts.

  • Coordinate with internal teams (GIS, digital engineering, planning, delivery, etc.)

  • Lead design coordination meetings, resolving design clashes and tracking actions to closure.

  • Responsible for management of all CRSs and close out.

  • Ensure all deliverables comply with Qiddiya’s document control and digital engineering standards.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Management or a related field;

  • 15 years of relevant experience in design management, preferably in large-scale infrastructure or development projects.

  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating complex, multi-disciplinary design teams and managing overlapping scopes.

  • Understanding of geotechnical design principles, and associated risk management would be beneficial.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and external consultants
