Job Duties

• Draft design/drawings and prepare design calculations (in consultation with supervisor)
• Prepare sketches and coordinate with draftsman to produce engineering sketches, overlays, PowerPoint presentations, etc.
• Produce or review calculations and drawings for subsequent internal/external approvals and finalization
• Address reviewers / approval authority comments on design submissions and resolve queries
• Liaise with the site staff, design consultants and subcontractors for the design of temporary and permanent works
• Support to seniors for preparation of tender technical submissions including tender design drawings and technical submission writeups, quantification, coordination with drafting & BIM staff
• Proactively seek to optimise design solutions, by eliminating risks during construction, maximising temporary works reuse, ensuring practical constructability and seeking the most economical solution
• Assist in other ad-hoc assignment
• Inspect construction of temporary works on site and issue permits to load temporary works.

Job Requirements

• Candidates with more experience will be considered for Principal Engineer / Design Manager
• Degree holder in Structural / Civil / Geotechnical Engineering or related discipline
• At least 6 years' design experience with design consultants or contractor in an engineering-based role.
• Familiarity with steel, reinforced concrete and ELS related designs.
• Knowledge and Experience of design and local codes/standards
• Able to handle multi-tasks under pressure and deadline
• Proficient in / propensity to learn Plaxis, FREW, SAP2000, AdSec, Sketchup, CAD/Revit
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese
