About the role
Team Credo is looking for a Senior Design Engineer to join our mission to transform connectivity at scale. This role will play a critical role in advancing semiconductor technologies through innovative design, development, and testing. Base salary range is $90,000 - $140,000 a year. The base salary offer will depend on factors such as education, experience, training, skills, qualifications, and location. This position is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, equity and a full range of medical and other benefits.

Responsibilities
- Logic Synthesis & Optimization: Perform block- and chip-level synthesis mapping using Fusion Compiler or Design Compiler, optimizing target power, performance, and area (PPA) metrics.
- Conduct power integrity analysis, including IR-drop and electromigration (EM) checks, and support the identification and resolution of power related issues.
- Work closely with physical design and power delivery teams to analyze power grid implementation and evaluate decoupling strategies for improved power integrity.
- Contribute to the development, validation, and maintenance of synthesis, STA, and implementation flows to improve design efficiency and quality.
- Cross-Functional Handoff: Partner closely with front-end design/verification teams and back-end physical design engineers to solve congestion, timing, and integration blocks early.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, with five years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong knowledge of middle-end and back-end ASIC implementation flows, including synthesis, timing closure, physical design, power integrity analysis, and signoff methodologies.
- Experience with SOC Design Integration and front-end Implementation on advanced TSMC process technologies.
- Strong scripting and automation expertise in Tcl, Python, or Perl.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, with three years of relevant industry experience.
- Experience with front-end Synthesis tools such as Fusion Compiler.
- Experience working on advanced TSMC process technologies, such as N5 and N3.
- Hands-on experience with EM/IR analysis and closure methodologies.
