Ingersoll Rand Industrial Technologies and Services have an opportunity for a Senior Engineer to join the Engineering team and Supporting the Air compressor team.
- The candidate will lead the Designing, Developing, and supporting the technical work for Ingersoll Rand's Air compressor product portfolio, which includes the different types of Air compressor etc.
- Execute the NPD and i2V(Innovation to value) projects as per Ingersoll Rand’s IRPX following the Phase Gate process with meeting the OTD and FPY.
- Works as technical expert in the Mechanical & Structural/Packaging design domain, responsible for technical solutions and optimize the design with best practices.
- Manage the projects from ETC as an engineer and influence the plant team to pursue the best solution.
- Ensure that assigned projects are delivered on time, to specification and cost by solid engineering plans including Quality, Cost, Schedule and Risk assessment. Report on the project progress to leadership level.
- Lead the System Integration work and make the best layout design solution in fast paced project.
- Lead the project planning, execution in system architecture strategy, engineering proposal, validate to meet the system level function integrity.
- Maintain comprehensive design documentation to support verification and traceability.
- Collaborate with global stakeholders to ensure engineering deliverables meet business objectives.
- Execute core engineering processes including DFMEA, Design & safety reviews, DVP&R, root cause analysis (RCA), and sustainability assessments.
- Develop key components in partnership with suppliers, driving results through design optimization.
- Help team to grow technical depth and knowledge sharing sessions across product line
Essential Skills (Key Competencies):
- 7+ years of hands-on Experience in new product development for industrial Product with Small-to- medium size packages (Air compressor, Genset), Preferably Industrial capital equipment products.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience ("exceptional" 3D modelling/lay outing skills +strong understanding about assembly/manufacturability friendly design) of the CAD tools (Autodesk Inventor), Generating BOMs, Global PLM, Tolerance stake-up & GD&T.
- Proven Track record of successfully executing the Projects(2-4#) involving Multi regions and multiple teams with structure design of the Industrial capital equipment products of Medium to large complexity.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Desired Skills:
- Proficient in managing the full product design and development lifecycle, including modifications throughout the product’s lifespan.
- Well-versed in regulatory compliance standards such as understanding about CE,PED and Marine compliance.
- Strong understanding of design for manufacturing.
- Expertise estimating product/parts costs with accuracy at all stages of Product.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Effective in conflict resolution and applying critical thinking to solve engineering challenges.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s/master’s degree in mechanical engineering.
- 7~12 years of Exp. in Air compressor or Industrial Product.
