Leads multidisciplinary design packages and provides technical oversight for complex infrastructure works.
· Prepare structural and civil engineering calculations and drawings.
· Develop permanent works solutions for shafts, retaining walls, slabs, foundations, and reinforced concrete structures.
· Coordinate with geotechnical, construction, and temporary works teams.
· Support constructability reviews and value engineering exercises.
· Work in accordance with BIM Level 2 / ISO 19650 standards for information management and collaborative delivery.
· Comply with CDM 2015 regulations, company HSEQ procedures, and promote a positive safety culture across all activities.
· Support NEC4 contract administration, early warning processes, Program reviews, and change management activities.
· Prepare technical specifications, design reports, and assurance documentation.
· Review and approve design calculations and multidisciplinary deliverables.
· Provide mentoring and technical support to junior engineers.
· Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and structural analysis software.
· Experience with reinforced concrete and steel design to Eurocodes.
· Knowledge of tunnelling interfaces including shafts, sprayed concrete linings, and underground structures.
· Understanding of buildability and construction methodologies.
· Experience using Tekla, Revit, or Robot Structural Analysis is advantageous.
· Experience managing design risk and design assurance processes.
· Degree-qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering.
· 6–10 years experience within infrastructure, structural, or tunnelling design.
· Understanding of Eurocodes, BS standards, and UK infrastructure requirements.
Working towards or holding Chartered status with ICE or IStruct.
