Do you want a career that means more? At Anglicare Sydney, we bring the strength, the support and the strategy to make it happen. We’re a well‑respected not‑for‑profit organisation, guided by Christian values and committed to enriching lives and strengthening communities across NSW.

As Anglicare accelerates its Digital & Data strategy, our DigiTech team plays a critical role in enabling insight‑led decision making, scalable digital products and AI‑enabled innovation that strengthens outcomes for the communities we serve.

Your opportunity

As a Senior Design Engineer, you will operate at the intersection of digital product engineering, data visualisation and experience design, shaping how insight, intelligence and stories are experienced across Anglicare.

Working closely with the General Manager – Digital & Data and embedded within cross‑functional Tiger Teams, you will design and engineer interactive dashboards, web applications and data experiences that support enterprise transformation, service optimisation and social impact initiatives.

This role owns the experience layer of Anglicare’s data and digital ecosystem — translating complex data and analytics into intuitive, accessible and high‑impact digital products that enable understanding, action and value creation across the organisation.

What you’ll bring

  • Strong experience in front‑end and experience engineering within digital product or data‑led environments
  • Proven capability designing intuitive, user‑centred interfaces for data‑rich and insight‑driven products
  • Demonstrated ability to apply visual storytelling principles to communicate insight, narrative and impact
  • Experience collaborating within multi‑disciplinary Digital & Data teams, including data, AI, product and platform specialists
  • Strong systems thinking, balancing usability, performance, accessibility and scalability
  • A growth mindset with a passion for mentoring, capability uplift and modern ways of working

Experience across some of the following:

  • Modern front‑end frameworks and libraries (React, Vue, D3, Three.js, animation libraries)
  • Experience design for analytics platforms, dashboards and decision‑support tools
  • Advanced CSS (Grid, Flexbox) and responsive, accessible design practices
  • Geospatial, 3D or immersive data storytelling (highly regarded)
  • Headless CMS platforms and API‑driven back‑end integrations
  • Git‑based development workflows and collaborative engineering practices
  • AI‑enabled rapid prototyping, experimentation and web‑based deployment

Why Anglicare Sydney?

We provide meaningful opportunities and choice — both for the individuals and communities we support, and for the dedicated people who make it happen.

At Anglicare, you’ll find the security, stability and opportunity that comes with a strong, well‑established organisation that’s ready for the future. You’ll belong to a community of kind, humble and respectful people of all faiths and backgrounds, and be supported to deepen your expertise and build a rewarding long‑term career.

Some of the benefits you’ll enjoy include:

  • Flexible and supportive work environment, including hybrid working
  • Salary packaging benefits — pay less tax and increase your take‑home pay
  • Up to $15,900 of your income tax‑free
  • Up to $2,650 on accommodation, meals and entertainment tax‑free

  • Treehouse benefits and discounts across 400+ retailers
  • Fitness Passport with access to 800+ gyms for you and your family
