We are recruiting for a Senior Delivery Manager to lead our agile ‘teams of teams’, driving strategic alignment and the seamless flow of value across mission‑critical business and technical change.

Who Are We?

Not just another building society. Not just another job.

We're the fourth biggest building society in the UK, and what makes us a bit different is that we're a mutual organisation. We don't have shareholders; we're owned by our members.

Our colleagues say Skipton is a great place to work, and you could be one of them, bringing with you new ideas on how we can keep customers at the heart of everything we do.

Whatever your background, and whatever your goals, we'll help you take the next step towards a better future.

You will be joining the Change Delivery Team, consisting of 2 Senior Enterprise Change Managers, 3 Senior Delivery Leads, 5 Senior Delivery Managers, 1 Senior Change Optimisation Manager, 1 Senior Enterprise PMO Manager and 1 Senior Journey Experience Manager. You will work alongside a wider network of change professionals.

Every change we deliver is ultimately for our customers. We’re delivering new experiences centred around their needs, ensuring faster, simpler, and more connected customer experiences that genuinely add value.

What’s in It for You?

Salary Range: £54,950 - £73,300 depending on experience

Skipton values work/life balance, and we are proud to support hybrid and flexible working where possible. We have a newly refurbished head office, offering a vibrant and collaborative working space.

In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:

  • Annual discretionary bonus scheme
  • 25 days standard annual leave + bank holidays, rising by 1 day per year of service to a maximum of 30 days
  • Holiday trading scheme, allowing you to buy and sell annual leave
  • Matching employer pension contributions (up to 10% per annum)
  • Colleague mortgage (conditions apply)
  • Salary sacrifice scheme for hybrid and electric cars
  • A strong commitment to training and development
  • Private medical insurance for all colleagues
  • 3 paid volunteering days per annum
  • Diverse and inclusive colleague networks, including Carers and Pride Alliance groups
  • A focus on health and wellbeing, including a cycle‑to‑work scheme and discounted gym membership

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Lead and coordinate all Agile Service Delivery ceremonies, including PI Planning, ART Syncs, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt
  • Manage and develop a team of Delivery Leads and Analysts, driving performance, clarity, and continuous growth
  • Drive continuous improvement across the ART, enhancing flow efficiency, quality, and delivery predictability
  • Remove delivery impediments and enable effective cross‑team coordination to achieve business and technical outcomes
  • Partner with Product and Platform Owners, Architects, and Business Owners to shape and prioritise backlogs
  • Track and report progress, risks, dependencies, and milestones using appropriate tools and metrics
  • Embed a culture of learning, innovation, and feedback to strengthen agile maturity
  • Support organisational change, championing new ways of working and scaled agile practices
  • Ensure governance and compliance requirements are met throughout delivery

What Do We Need From You?

  • Proven leadership skills, with experience coaching and developing delivery professionals
  • Advanced facilitation skills and strong stakeholder engagement across all organisational levels
  • Deep knowledge of Lean‑Agile principles, with hands‑on experience in a senior delivery or scaled agile leadership role
  • Strong background in both technical delivery (software, infrastructure, DevOps) and business transformation
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, able to bring clarity to ambiguity
  • Ability to balance strategic alignment with effective day‑to‑day delivery
  • Analytical, data‑driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Proficiency in agile delivery tools and familiarity with SAFe, Scrum, and Kanban frameworks
  • Experience leading large‑scale change across business and technology domains
  • Line‑management experience across hybrid teams, including Delivery Leads and Analysts
  • Experience in complex or regulated environments (e.g. financial services) is advantageous
