To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Debug Engineer located in Prai, Penang

What a typical day looks like:

  • Understands conditions under which tests are to be conducted and sequences and phases of test operations.

  • Prepares technical summary reports for use by electronic or software engineering, and management personnel.

  • Interfaces and confers with engineering and technical personnel to resolve testing problems such as product or system malfunctions, incomplete test data, data interpretation or coding issues.

  • Uses computer software and hardware to conduct tests on electronic products and systems or software for examination purpose.

  • Allocates defect causes to the various sources e.g. process, material, and prepares reports for follow other involved like quality, purchasing, SQA.

  • Interferes with floor support, test technicians and test operators on test hardware and/or software, as well as proper problem-solving techniques.

  • Resolves test yield problems by performing investigation of root causes, developing and coordinating corrective action measures and monitoring improvements.

  • Evaluate and configure digital circuits using Field programable Gate Array (FPGA) and Ball Grid Array (BGA).

  • Resolves failures from Point of origin / point of detection.

  • Evaluates and interprets test data and product performance with proper evidence of design related Failure Analysis Report.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

  • Typically requires a minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in related functions.
