Job Description

In Netcompany Banking Services we deliver a range of different IT solutions and services to banks and savings banks in both Denmark and other Nordic countries. We provide a modern, cloud-based core banking platform to more than 50 Nordic banks, serving over 2 million end customers. Our solutions include daily banking operations, mobile and online banking, payments, investment, risk management, compliance, and open banking.

Netcompany Banking Services

As a Senior DataOps Engineer you will

  • Drive the automation of data management processes within a modern CI/CD environment.
  • Design and implement scalable data models and orchestrate ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Manage and optimize data flows and data storage solutions to ensure performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure data quality and consistency.
  • Troubleshoot complex data and system-related issues.
  • Ensure high standards of data quality, completeness, and integrity.
  • Create and maintain documentation for data processes, architectures, and operational procedures.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Experience working in the data warehousing field.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL.
  • Knowledge of databases, data processing concepts, and general data engineering principles.
  • Experience with SAS or Teradata tools is an advantage
  • Experience with at least one ETL/ELT tool (preferably SAS DI Studio).
  • Familiarity with tools such as Snowflake, dbt, Git, Erwin, or Power BI is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in the English language is required.
  • A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a relevant IT specialization is required.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of data governance processes.
  • Ensure compliance with data security, regulatory, and audit requirements.
  • Conduct data quality assessments and drive improvement initiatives.
  • Provide training, guidance, and best‑practice support to team members on data management and DataOps principles.
