We are currently seeking a Senior Datacenter Platform Engineer, reporting directly to the Head of Architecture, Cloud & Systems Design, to join our team based in Rome, Italy.

About the mission we offer you:

As a Senior Datacenter Platform Engineer, you will play a key hands-on engineering role in designing, evolving and continuously improving our Datacenter Platform services. Acting as a senior technical expert, you will ensure the reliability, scalability, security, and resilience of core infrastructure solutions supporting Technip Energies' global operations.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Designing, implementing, and continuously improving data-center infrastructure services and platforms.
• Implementing and continuously improving compute, virtualization, storage, backup and resilience solutions.
• Acting as the technical owner and subject matter expert for Storage & Backup services.
• Ensuring platform performance, availability, security, and compliance with company standards.
• Supporting Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, and Cyber Recovery initiatives.
• Leading troubleshooting activities and providing Level 3 support for complex infrastructure incidents.
• Driving automation and infrastructure standardization initiatives.
• Collaborating with Architecture, Operations, Cybersecurity, and Project teams to deliver infrastructure projects and enhancements.
• Managing relationships with technology vendors and technically coordinating external service providers.
• Evaluating emerging technologies and industry best practices contributing to recommendations for platform improvements.

Role Dimension

• Acts as a senior engineering resource for Data-center Infrastructure services.
• Provides technical leadership and expertise across global infrastructure projects.
• Supports platform standards and engineering practices and contributes to their implementation.
• Contributes to the continuous improvement and modernization of enterprise infrastructure services.

About you:

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Data-center Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure environments.
• Proven hands-on experience designing, implementing and supporting enterprise-level infrastructure platforms.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of data-center infrastructure architecture and operations.
• Expertise in Storage & Backup technologies.
• Experience with virtualization and hyper-converged infrastructure solutions.
• Good knowledge of cloud services, particularly Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with automation and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as PowerShell, Terraform, or Ansible.
• Understanding of Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, and Cyber Recovery frameworks.
• Knowledge of both Windows and Linux environments.

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work effectively across international and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proactive mindset with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.

Compensation

• Annual gross salary ranging from €57,101.60 to €71,377.00, determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications and internal equity.
• Position classified under the relevant Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL Metalmeccanico).
• Eligibility for an annual performance bonus in line with company policy.
