About Flutter Functions:

The Flutter Functions division is a key component of Flutter Entertainment, responsible for providing essential support and services across the organization. The division encompasses various corporate functions, including finance, legal, human resources, technology, and more, ensuring seamless operations and strategic alignment throughout the company.

The Strategic Intelligence team transforms complex data into actionable insights that guidestrategictechnologydecisions, combining AI-powered analytics, competitive intelligence, and innovation partnerships to help technology leadershipanticipatechallenges and capitalize on opportunities

As our SeniorData Scientistyou willdevelop sophisticated predictive models, fine-tune AI models for specific use cases, and create advanced forecasting capabilities for workforce trends and technology adoption patterns. This role combines traditional data scienceexpertisewith modern AI/LLM engineering to build strategic intelligence systems that provide Flutter's technology leadership with predictive insights, scenario planning, and automated analytical capabilities that drive criticalstrategicdecisions across the technology portfolio.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

Advanced PredictiveModelling& Analytics

• Develop sophisticated forecasting models for workforce trends, technology adoption patterns, and strategic scenario planning using advanced statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms

• Build custom predictive systems thatanticipateskills gaps, technology investment opportunities, and competitive threats through analysis of complex, multi-source datasets

• Create strategic simulation models that enable technology leadership to evaluate different investment scenarios and understand potential outcomes of strategic decisions

AI/LLM Engineering & Implementation

• Design and implement RAG architectures using vector databases, embeddings optimization, and retrieval tuning to enhance strategic intelligence generation from organizational knowledge bases

• Fine-tune and customize AI models for specific strategic intelligence use cases, including synthetic data generation, model alignment, and performance optimization for business applications

• Build automated AI workflows using orchestration tools that extract insights, summarize content, and automate repetitive intelligence tasks whilemaintainingquality and reliability standards

Strategic Intelligence Systems Development

• Architect end-to-end data science solutions that integrate traditional analytics with modern AI capabilities to deliver comprehensive strategic intelligence to technology leadership

• DevelopMLOpspipelines for model monitoring, versioning, and deployment ensuring reliable, scalable AI systems that meet enterprise standards for strategic decision support

• Create evaluation frameworks for AI-generated insights including automated assessment and human-in-the-loop validation to ensure accuracy and strategic relevance

Skills, Capabilities & Experience Required:

Advanced Technical Excellence

• Modern AI Proficiency: Strong knowledge of LLM operations, prompt engineering, and function calling with experience preparing and processing data for AI/ML applications using OpenAI, Anthropic, or Hugging Face models

• Data Science Mastery:Strong foundationin Python, SQL, statistics, experimentation design, and advanced ML techniques including time-series forecasting and causal inference

• Strategic Systems Thinking:Ability to design data pipelines and analytical frameworks that combine multiple ML techniques to solve complex business problems, with experience building or contributing to data infrastructure that supports AI workflows

Strategic Intelligence & Communication

• Business Translation: Strong ability to translate complex technical analysis into clear, data-driven insights that support strategic decision-making, working collaboratively with Strategic Intelligence Partners to develop recommendations

• Stakeholder Engagement: Comfortable working directly with CTOs, VPs of Engineering, and strategy teams to gather requirements and present findings with confidence and clarity

• Strategic Context: Deep understanding of how data science outputs contribute to technology strategy, investment decisions, and competitive positioning

Innovation & Collaboration

• Intellectual Curiosity: Proactive in staying current with GenAI advancements, evaluating emerging tools, and experimenting with new techniques to enhance strategic intelligence capabilities

• Cross-Functional Partnership: Strong collaboration skills working with Strategic Intelligence Partners, AI Analysts, and Full Stack Developers to deliver integrated solutions

• Product Mindset: Thinks in terms of user needs and repeatable value delivery rather than one-off analyses, designing AI products that serve strategic decision-making

Experience Required:

• PhD orMasters in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related quantitative field with 4-6 years relevant experience

• Production AI/ML experience including deployment of machine learning models in business environments withdemonstratedimpact on strategic decision-making

• Advanced statistical modellingexpertisewith experience in forecasting, simulation techniques, and trend prediction for complex business challenges

• Modern AI/LLM engineering experience including RAG implementation, model fine-tuning, and building AI-powered business applications

• Strategic consulting experience or equivalent background working with senior stakeholders to translate technical analysis into business strategy

• Cloud platformproficiencywith AWS, Azure, or GCP including ML services, data pipelines, and scalable system architecture

Desirable Qualifications:

• Technology industry experience in high-growth environments with understanding of workforce planning, technology investment cycles, and competitive dynamics

• Consulting background with strategy consulting firms or equivalent strategic advisory experience in large corporate environments

• Advanced AI research experience including publications, conference presentations, or contributions to open-source AI projects

• Enterprise data science experience in regulated industries with understanding of governance, compliance, and risk management requirements

• Leadership experience mentoring junior data scientists or leading technical initiatives in cross-functional environments
