*The primary location of this position is Berlin.*

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

• Development and implementation of machine learning algorithms and models to address our clients’ business challenges.

• Extraction of valuable insights from large and unstructured data sources.

• Creation and leadership in the development of AI/ML-driven solutions for predictive analytics, recommendation systems, and process automation.

• Collaboration with cross-functional teams to understand our clients’ business objectives and translate them into effective ML/AI solutions.

• Evaluation of model performance and continuous improvement of accuracy and efficiency through iterative optimization.

• Communication of findings and insights clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Assumption of functional leadership responsibilities and support of other data scientists in their professional development.

WHAT YOU BRING ALONG

Must-have skills:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.

• 5+ years of relevant experience in data science or machine learning engineering with proven hands-on experience in applied machine learning and AI.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, including experience with relevant libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, scikit-learn, NLTK), as well as a good command of SQL.

• Solid understanding of statistical methods and concepts.

• Experience leading projects or taking on functional leadership responsibilities.

• Experience communicating with and managing stakeholders, ideally in the IT services industry or a consulting environment.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments, with excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly present complex technical concepts.

• Fluency in English.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with big data technologies and cloud platforms.

• Experience with data processing in Spark and Databricks, or similar technologies

• Experience with data visualization, dashboarding tools or simple frontends for visualization (Streamlit, Dash, Tableau, PowerBI).

• Knowledge of deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, Keras).

• Previous experience deploying ML/AI models into production environments.

• Experience with generative AI and agentic systems

• Fluency in German.
