As part of the Sky Analytics team, you’ll use data, insights and advanced analytical techniques to help shape key commercial decisions, uncover opportunities for growth and improve outcomes for our customers. Working closely with stakeholders across Sky Ireland, you’ll play an important role in turning complex data into clear, actionable recommendations that support our strategy and help us deliver better experiences every day.Careers here mean the freedom and support you need to make an impact – pushing boundaries, creating solutions, hitting targets.
What you’ll do
Work on a variety of data science projects, from understanding the business problem and engaging stakeholders through extracting data, developing the analysis and communicating clear recommendations.
Use advanced analytical techniques, including predictive modelling, customer segmentation, deep-dive analysis and experimentation, to identify commercial opportunities and improve customer outcomes.
Design, build and maintainreusable analytical datasets, tables and automated data pipelines (including ETL workflows) using SQL, Python and orchestration tools such as Airflow Apply appropriate documentation, testing, monitoring and data-quality controlsto support modelling, reporting and self-service analytics.
Build intuitive dashboards and self-service reporting using visualization tools (such as Tableau and PowerBI) to improve access to insights and reduce reliance on recurring manual analysis.
Partner closely with business and technical teams, developing strong stakeholder relationships and ensuring that analytical work delivers measurable value against Sky Ireland’s priorities.
Drive continuous improvement and innovation, identifying opportunities to automate processes, improve existing analytical approaches and make better use of customer and commercial data.
Provide analytical leadership within the team, sharing knowledge, challenging methodologies and supporting the development of more junior analysts or data scientists.
What you’ll bring
Essential criteria:
Significant experience in an analytics role where you used advanced analytics techniques such as predictive modelling, segmentation, analytics deep-dives, etc.
A real passion to unlock the insights & stories in our data, and work with our stakeholders to see those insights help us deliver on business priorities
A self-starter, who enjoys the energy of a fast-paced environment and who has strong multi-tasking abilities and resilience
Expert knowledge of SQL
Strong knowledge of Python/R or other languages
Someone with curiosity about our customers, our data and how we could do things differently and better
Master’s level education preferred, graduate in mathematics, computer science, physical sciences or other quantitative discipline
Desirable skills and experience:
Examples of leading / driving analytics projects that lead to a measurable benefit
Experience working on customer data in a subscription business
Examples of being part of, or influencing Strategic projects or decisions
Experience of using Tableau, Data Studio, PowerBI or similar tools to visualise data and create intuitive dashboards
Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform

How you’ll work
We've adopted a hybrid working approach to give more flexibility on where and how we work. The hybrid working expectations for this role are 3 days in the office per week.
Your office base
Burlington Plaza is the home of Sky Ireland, a central, well-connected base for our Dublin teams. We’re just a 20-minute walk to Dublin’s city centre with connections via Dublin Bus, Luas and DART. Our nearest train station is Grand Canal Dock.
