Join us and be part of something bigger – helping to simplify health care one person, one family and one community at a time.

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our Customer Engagement and Channel Innovation team. You’ll collaborate across business and technical teams, apply advanced analytics, and take initiative to solve complex challenges that drive healthcare innovation—especially those that directly impact patient outreach and engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends and actionable insights that inform strategy, prioritize opportunities, and measure impact

  • Lead data science problem-solving from hypothesis to solution, applying strong critical thinking to design innovative analytical approaches that improve business and patient outcomes

  • Own end-to-end delivery of analytics solutions, including hands-on technical builds using existing and emerging technologies to enable scalable patient outreach and engagement

  • Communicate and drive execution across audiences, clearly explaining technical/statistical concepts to technical and non-technical partners while supporting project management needs (timelines, deliverables, and working sessions)

Required Qualifications

  • Self-starter who works independently, shows initiative, and consistently drives projects to results with minimal oversight

  • Strong communicator able to translate complex technical and statistical concepts for both technical partners and business stakeholders

  • Excellent critical thinking and analytical ability, synthesizing insights from multiple data sources and perspectives to inform decisions

  • Comfortable taking on new technical challenges, especially those that enable technology-driven patient outreach and engagement

  • Hands-on analytics and visualization expertise, including PySpark, SQL, Python and/or R, plus Power BI and/or Tableau, supported by a solid foundation in statistical methods and collaborative, well-organized working style

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a healthcare or pharmacy-related environment

  • Project management experience or certification (e.g., PMP, Agile)

  • Familiarity with cloud-based analytics platforms and large-scale data environments

  • Master's degree

Education
