Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist to lead advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives within our AI Center. This role will drive the development of predictive models for customer behavior, network optimization, fraud detection, credit scoring, and churn prediction that deliver measurable business value across our telecom and fintech operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models for telecom use cases (customer churn prediction, network optimization, predictive maintenance, customer lifetime value)
- Build AI solutions for fintech applications (fraud detection, credit risk assessment, transaction anomaly detection, personalized financial recommendations)
- Lead data exploration, feature engineering, and model optimization efforts using telecom network data, customer behavior data, and financial transaction data
- Collaborate with business stakeholders across telecom and fintech divisions to identify AI use cases and translate requirements into technical solutions
- Mentor junior data scientists and provide technical guidance to the team
- Implement MLOps practices for model lifecycle management and real-time model monitoring
- Utilize Azure Machine Learning, Azure Databricks, and other Azure AI services
- Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or advanced analytics
- Strong proficiency in Python and key libraries (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, pandas, NumPy)
- Experience with Azure Machine Learning and Azure cloud services
- Expertise in statistical modeling, deep learning, and natural language processing
- Strong understanding of model evaluation metrics and validation techniques
- Excellent communication skills in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in telecom industry (network analytics, customer churn, mobile data analysis)
- Experience in fintech or financial services (fraud detection, credit scoring, payment analytics)
- Azure certifications (Azure Data Scientist Associate, Azure AI Engineer Associate)
- Experience with Generative AI and Large Language Models for customer service applications
- Knowledge of time-series forecasting for network capacity planning or financial forecasting
