Senior Data Scientist

Join our Data Science, Analytics, and AI team at SIX BFI, a leader in the financial data industry. We are looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Data Scientist to drive the development of innovative AI-powered solutions. You will work on a wide range of initiatives, from extracting intelligence from unstructured data to building production-grade analytical applications. What You Will Do

• Lead AI/Analytics Projects: Owns the end-to-end lifecycle of data science projects, from ideation and stakeholder engagement to deployment and iteration, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Develop Advanced AI/ML Models: Leverage cutting-edge AI, NLP, and machine learning techniques to extract structured insights from unstructured financial documents and alternative data sources.
• Build Production-Ready Solutions: Design, build, and deploy robust, production-grade AI solutions, including analytical chatbots and critical applications that deliver actionable insights from our vast datasets.
• Act as a Data Evangelist: Develop a deep understanding of our vast financial datasets and act as a subject matter expert, collaborating directly with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into data-driven solutions.
• Collaborate and Mentor: Work closely with cross-functional teams of engineers, product managers, and other data scientists. Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.

What You Bring

• Technical Expertise: Deep proficiency in Python and its data science ecosystem (e.g., pandas, scikit-learn, spaCy). Extensive experience with Databricks, PySpark, and dbt for large-scale data processing and transformation.
• API and Backend Skills: Proven experience building production-ready APIs using frameworks like FastAPI and interacting with databases using tools like SQLAlchemy.
• DevOps & MLOps Mindset: Strong understanding of software development best practices. Hands-on experience with Docker for containerization and Git for version control.
