What you can look forward to as Senior Data Privacy Lawyer (m/f/d):

• You advise and supervise our business units on national and international Data Privacy / protection / AI regulations in your area of responsibility;
• You are responsible for the Data Privacy Management System (DPMS) within dedicated Corporate Functions (Domains) and drive Data Privacy program proactively;
• You assess new digital business projects and processing activities for Data Privacy requirements on a risk-based approach;
• You support our business units on all Data Privacy matters and on implementing the right solutions, in performing Data Privacy Impact Assessments (DPIA) and in maintaining the Records of Processing Activities (RoPA);
• You assess personal data breaches and data subjects’ requests and are involved in the respective response activities thereto;
• You negotiate Data Privacy relevant agreements with customers and partners;
• You take over ownership of Data Privacy processes and initiatives as e.g. TIA, DPA framework & templates, internal contractual frameworks, target-group specific Data Privacy training and awareness measures etc.;
• You observe and analyze legal developments and its impact for the ZF Group on employees’ Data Privacy/protection regulations and provide pragmatic guidance within the ZF data Privacy community.

Your profile as Senior Data Privacy Lawyer (m/f/d):

• Successfully completed law studies incl. admission to the bar;
• Minimum 5 years (the more the better) of professional Data Privacy experience in an international environment;
• In-depth understanding of the international Data Privacy regulatory environment, in particular the EU GDPR and its practical application and of employees’ data privacy / protection regulation;
• In depth understanding of AI, IT systems & cloud environments, and its Data Privacy implications;
• Ability to understand market and business needs while safeguarding Data Privacy compliance;
• Strong audience-specific communication skills for various target groups (all levels up to senior management) and can-do attitude with a strong service and risk-based mentality;
• Digital first – strong digital capabilities to drive proactively working in end-to-end digital workflows of the Data Privacy Management System;
• Fluent English skills, further languages may be a benefit.
