Our work helps organizations strengthen how they manage data, risk, and operational change in complex environments where governance and accountability matter.

As a Senior Data Governance Analyst, you will play a key role in advancing enterprise data governance practices that support regulatory expectations, improve data quality, and enable better business decision-making. This role is suited to someone who can work across business and control functions, bring structure to complex data challenges, and help build sustainable governance processes that scale across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain data governance policies, standards, and procedures aligned with regulatory requirements including BCBS 239, GDPR, CCPA, SOX, GLBA, and FFIEC.
  • Lead and support data classification efforts, ensuring appropriate handling of PII, MNPI, and other sensitive or regulated data categories.
  • Maintain and enhance the enterprise data catalog, business glossary, and data lineage documentation to support regulatory reporting and risk management.
  • Partner with data owners and data stewards across business lines to define data quality rules, monitor metrics, and drive remediation of data quality issues.
  • Support Critical Data Element (CDE) identification and monitor controls around CDEs used in regulatory and financial reporting.
  • Conduct data governance maturity assessments and gap analyses, and recommend and track remediation plans.
  • Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Legal, and Internal Audit teams to support regulatory exams, audits, and data-related risk assessments.
  • Design and monitor access control and data entitlement processes in partnership with Information Security.
  • Facilitate data governance council and working group meetings, and prepare governance reporting and metrics for senior management and committees.
  • Support metadata management initiatives and ensure consistent, enterprise-wide data definitions.
  • Track issues through the data issue management lifecycle, including root cause analysis and escalation of unresolved risks.
  • Contribute to training and awareness programs to embed a data governance culture across the organization.
