Senior Data Engineer - US
San Jose
Responsibilities
1. Lead the design and end-to-end development of offline data warehouses, encompassing layered data modeling, pipeline development, and data governance practices to guarantee data accuracy, consistency, and long-term operational stability.
2. Develop in-depth domain expertise across business verticals and design domain-aligned data warehouse solutions to fulfill varied data requirements from all internal business units.
3. Partner closely with the China-based data engineering team to address regional data privacy compliance requirements, task deployment, and day-to-day operational maintenance. All cross-border data collaboration shall fully comply with applicable local and global data privacy regulations, including the CCPA and GDPR.
Qualifications
1. Proven extensive hands-on experience in data warehouse modeling and development, with solid proficiency in both offline and real-time data processing. Prior experience building large-scale, high-throughput data processing systems is highly preferred.
2. Expertise in big data ecosystems including Hadoop, Spark, Iceberg, Flink and related frameworks; practical software development experience with Java, Scala and/or Python. Capable of integrating diverse technology stacks to build robust, business-centric data solutions.
3. Keen data intuition paired with strong business acumen: able to translate business requirements into scalable data architecture, and design well-structured data warehouse models focused on stability, extensibility and long-term maintainability.
4. Exceptional logical reasoning skills; adept at prioritizing multiple concurrent tasks within a fast-paced tech environment. Highly self-motivated with strong proactive ownership and accountability.
5. Working knowledge and practical experience adhering to U.S. data privacy regulatory frameworks (notably CCPA and GDPR).
