In this dynamic environment, we are looking for an ambitious and self-driven Senior Data Engineerfocused in Financial Servicesto join our Data Engineering team in Athens.

• Work closely with a talented team of data engineers, visualization experts and app developers to solve important and challenging problems for clients and internal teams within Greece and abroad

• Interpret business requirements into data innovating solutions

• Interpret written business requirements into technical specification documents

• Analyze source data, understanding relationships, hierarchies, groups, trends etc.

• Decide the solution’s architecture and selecting the right components

• Design the architecture of the ETL/ELT jobs by utilizing and combining available components and tools

• Implement and optimizing a Data Model

• Build and executing ELT/ETL Pipelines

• Document and communicate your findings as well as training colleagues and clients alike with best practices in your field

What you bring matters

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Engineering and any other relevant field

• Familiarity with Banking and Accounting and FinancialServiceswill be considered a plus

• Minimum 3 years proven experience in this field isa must

• Experience in advanced SQL and Python language syntax

• Knowledge of complex data flows through dedicated Integration tools like Azure Data Factory, Databricks or SSIS isrequired

• Experience in cloud technologies (Microsoft Azure or AWS) is preferred

• Experiencein IBM Data tools such as Netezza, DB Stage will be considered a plus

• Experience in IBM Cloud Pak for Data will be considered a plus

• Experience in working with large data sets will be considered a plus

• Familiarity with logical and conceptual data models

• Azure Data Engineer certificate (or equivalent) will be considered a plus

• Azure Solution Architect (or equivalent) will be considered a plus
