🚀 We're Hiring: Senior Data Engineer – Data Quality & AWS Redshift (Remote – LATAM)

Are you passionate about solving complex data challenges and building highly reliable data platforms? We're looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team and play a critical role in supporting mission-critical election systems for the Texas Secretary of State's TEAM platform

In this role, you'll focus on data quality, AWS Redshift, reporting modernization, and production data reliability, helping ensure the integrity and accuracy of election and voter data while contributing to the development of scalable data quality frameworks.

🔹 What You'll Do

  • Design, optimize, and maintain Amazon Redshift data models, reporting datasets, and data pipelines.
  • Investigate and resolve complex production data issues impacting election and voter systems.
  • Develop automated data validation, reconciliation, and quality controls.
  • Improve data synchronization, reporting consistency, and processing reliability.
  • Build monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions for critical business data.
  • Partner with Engineering, QA, Product, and Client Services to prevent data issues before production.
  • Contribute to the development of enterprise-wide data quality standards and frameworks.

✅ What We're Looking For

  • 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Database Engineering, or Data Architecture.
  • Expert SQL skills and strong experience with PostgreSQL or Aurora PostgreSQL.
  • Hands-on experience with Amazon Redshift architecture, administration, optimization, and reporting.
  • Strong Python development skills.
  • Experience designing ETL/ELT pipelines, data validation, reconciliation, and synchronization solutions.
  • Experience with AWS cloud services.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent English communication and stakeholder management abilities.

⭐ Preferred Experience

  • Election systems, voter registration, or government technology platforms.
  • Great Expectations (GX), Soda, dbt, or other data quality tools.
  • Data observability and monitoring solutions.
  • Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Public sector, GovCloud, FedRAMP, or regulated environments.
