Job Title: Senior Data Engineer (Data Platform & Management)

About the Role

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic, platform-driven team in Amsterdam. In this role, you will play a key part in enhancing and scaling our data platform to improve data quality, governance, and accessibility across the organization.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team of engineers and analysts to build robust, scalable data solutions that empower business users and data engineering peers alike. Key Responsibilities

• 
  Enhance and optimize the data platform to improve data quality, integrity, and management
• 
  Design and implement scalable data architectures that are intuitive and easy to understand
• 
  Build and maintain data pipelines for efficient data ingestion, transformation, and access
• 
  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful, data-driven business solutions
• 
  Develop and implement data management methodologies and scale them with business growth
• 
  Ensure reliable data storage, organization, and retrieval from multiple sources
• 
  Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends for continuous improvement and innovation

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering or related roles
• 
  Strong expertise in:
  • 
    Apache Spark
  • 
    Databricks
  • 
    Azure Data Factory
• 
  Proven experience in data platform engineering and data management
• 
  Solid understanding of data architecture, ETL/ELT processes, and data modeling
• 
  Experience working in agile, multidisciplinary teams
• 
  Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have

• 
  Experience in platform-based product organizations
• 
  Exposure to modern data governance and data quality frameworks
• 
  Familiarity with cloud-based data ecosystems, particularly Microsoft Azure
