We are looking for a senior-level data professional with strong hands-on experience in data modeling, data integration, and enterprise data warehouse design and modernization. This role requires someone who can translate business requirements into scalable, well-structured data solutions and actively own end-to-end data delivery.

This is a hands-on role with end-to-end ownership, not a purely advisory or reporting-focused position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain logical and physical data models for both OLTP and OLAP/EDW systems

  • Translate business requirements into scalable data structures and integration solutions

  • Develop and maintain source-to-target mappings and transformation logic

  • Own data solutions end-to-end from requirements gathering through production delivery

  • Work directly with business and technical stakeholders to define data requirements and business rules

  • Support data warehouse and data platform development and modernization initiatives

  • Perform data profiling, validation, reconciliation, and root cause analysis

  • Build and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures for performance and accuracy

  • Support data integration pipelines and data transformation processes

  • Ensure adherence to data quality, governance, and documentation standards

  • Collaborate across engineering, analytics, and business teams in both Agile and structured environments

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience in data modeling (Kimball, dimensional modeling, and 3NF)

  • ERwin Data Modeler ,ER/Studio (preferred or equivalent data modeling tools)

  • Experience creating and maintaining logical data models, physical data models, data dictionaries and metadata definitions

  • Experience designing solutions for both OLTP and OLAP environments

  • Strong experience in source-to-target mapping and data transformation logic

  • Advanced SQL expertise (T-SQL or PL/SQL) including stored procedures, query tuning, performance optimization

  • Experience working with Enterprise Data Warehouses (EDW) or data platforms

  • Strong understanding of data integration and data movement concepts (ETL/ELT)

  • Ability to work directly with business stakeholders to gather and clarify requirements

  • Experience with data governance, metadata, and data cataloging tools

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrated ability to own deliverables independently and manage execution

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Azure, Synapse, or Microsoft Fabric

  • AWS or other cloud data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, etc.)

  • Experience with data warehouse modernization or migration projects (on-prem → cloud)

  • Experience with Databricks, Delta Lake, or lakehouse architectures

  • GitHub and CI/CD practices for data solutions

  • Python or PySpark (working knowledge)

  • Basic understanding of XML / XSD and canonical data modeling concepts

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 8–15+ years of experience in data engineering, data modeling, or enterprise data roles

  • Background in data warehouse, integration, or platform modernization programs

  • Strong experience working in complex enterprise environments (retail, insurance, finance, banking, telecom, etc.)

  • Comfortable acting as a bridge between business, data engineering, and analytics teams

  • Strong English communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly

  • Experience in consulting or enterprise transformation environments is a plus
