As a Senior Data Engineer (Azure), you will work at the intersection of data engineering, backend services, and cloud platforms, helping build scalable data foundations that enable analytics, integrations, and data‑driven decision‑making.
You will join a collaborative, cross‑functional team working in an agile environment, contributing end‑to‑end to modern data platforms and integration solutions across the Azure ecosystem.

In this role, you will:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and backend serviceson Azure
Build and optimize data products and data platformsusing modern lakehouse architectures
Develop and maintain APIs and integrationsto connect internal and external systems
Ensure data quality, reliability, and performanceacross pipelines and services
Work with structured and unstructured datato support analytics and downstream systems
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automation, and deployment processes
Collaborate in a cross-functional Agile team, taking shared ownership of deliverables
Continuously improve solutions, standards, and team practices
You will work on modern, large-scale data platforms in evolving environments
You are expected to balance quality, scalability, and delivery speed
You will collaborate across data, backend, and platform engineering domains
You will contribute beyond isolated components, owning solutions end to end

Minimum 5+ yearsof experience as a Data Engineer
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Strong experience with Pythonand object-oriented programming
Solid experience with Microsoft Azure(e.g., ADLS, ADF, Synapse, or similar services)
Hands-on experience with Databricks(Notebooks, Delta Lake)
Strong SQLskills for data processing and validation
Experience building and maintaining APIs and backend services(REST, event-driven)
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelinesand DevOps practices
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Fluency in English
Must be based in Europe
Experience with data modeling and data architecture
Familiarity with event-driven architectures and distributed systems
Experience with data governance tools(e.g., Unity Catalog)
Exposure to AI/ML data preparation or data-driven platforms
Experience with JSON and API-based data ingestion
Experience with Kubernetes / containerized environmentsis a plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proactive, hands-on, and solution-oriented mindset
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Eagerness to learn and work with new technologies
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Agile and collaborative teams with shared ownership
