At IPT Associates (IPTA), we enjoy solving real-world problems with technology. We work closely with our customers, teammates, experts, and partners to come up with practical solutions that make a difference. Whether it's a government or business organization, we focus on understanding the need and building something that works.

Our Team

At IPTA, everything starts with our people. We're big believers that when you invest in your team, great things happen. That's why we encourage learning, growth, and trying new things-even if you don't have all the answers yet.

Our culture is rooted in fierce determination, fearless integrity, and passionate service-but we also like to keep things collaborative, supportive, and down-to-earth.

We're looking for people who:

  • Are curious and excited about technology
  • Like solving problems and figuring things out
  • Can take initiative but also enjoy working with a team
  • Want to keep learning, growing, and challenging themselves

If you're someone who's eager to jump in, learn something new, and make an impact-you'll fit right in here.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a senior data engineer on the Palantir Foundry (Army Vantage) team migrating legacy U.S. Army enterprise data into production-grade pipelines, ontologies, and applications
  • Designs, builds, and maintains production-grade data pipelines, data connections, and ontologies in Palantir Foundry
  • Develops transforms on structured (tabular) and unstructured datasets, applying best practices for pipeline design, maintainability, and performance
  • Sets up Data Connection sources and syncs to ingest tabular data and raw files from external systems into Foundry
  • Provides data engineering context during ontology design and implements the pipelines backing ontology objects and links based on application requirements
  • Investigates and fixes pipeline issues, and contributes logic changes and performance improvements to transform pipelines feeding mission-critical workflows
  • Partners with engineers, program managers, and domain specialists to synthesize disparate data into an actionable roadmap and move rapidly from use case to prototype to scaled deployment
  • Works with legacy-system SMEs and testers to re-implement legacy transformation logic in Foundry and support source-to-target reconciliation

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 10+ years of software engineering or data engineering experience, including proven hands-on delivery in Palantir Foundry
  • Advanced Palantir Foundry experience building pipelines, managing datasets, and deploying applications, including:
  • Production-grade data pipelines, data connections, and ontologies
  • Transforms on structured and unstructured datasets, including troubleshooting
  • Data Connection sources and syncs for tabular data and raw files
  • Pipelines that back ontology objects and links
  • Advanced Python programming skills, with a demonstrated ability to build production-grade code that leverages both structured and unstructured datasets
  • Strong foundation in machine learning
  • Willingness to travel as needed for client implementation work
  • Create, modify, and test the code, forms, and script that allow computer applications to run. Work from specifications drawn up by software developers or other individuals
  • Provides technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments
  • Establishes goals and plans that meet project objectives. Has domain and expert technical knowledge
  • Directs and controls activities for a client, having overall responsibility for financial management, methods, and staffing to ensure that technical requirements are met
  • Interactions involve client negotiations and interfacing with senior management
  • Decision making and domain knowledge may have a critical impact on overall project implementation
  • May supervise others
  • An active Secret security clearance is required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Palantir Foundry certification (Data Engineer track preferred)
  • Experience with PySpark, SQL, and TypeScript in Foundry
  • Experience with Palantir AIP
  • Experience migrating data from legacy Oracle or other relational systems into Foundry or Army Vantage
  • CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570/8140 baseline certification
