The Mobility Electronics (ME) division engineers a wide portfolio of micro-mechanical sensors that are essential to modern life, from automotive safety and navigation over consumer devices like smartphones and hearables up to control systems in spacecrafts. You can find Bosch sensors everywhere. Our team delivers solutions of data analytics and ML algorithms for the development and production of these products aiming improvements in yield or engineering efficiency. Our work is conducted in a highly dynamic, international setting, in close collaboration with in-house manufacturing and lab measurement teams.
Your tasks:
As a senior data engineer, you will
► Design solutions for data ingestion,
► Create architecture of ETL pipelines of manufacturing and development data of MEMS sensors,
► Implement these pipelines,
► Technically lead a team of data engineers,
► Mentor juniors, review codes, act as role model for software engineers, data scientists and data engineers,
► Promote clean code principles and agile way-of-working,
► Advice members of management in your field of expertise and support them in decision making related to data strategy.
► At least bachelor’s degree in STEM major,
► > 5 years of experience in a SW developer, or data engineer role (later preferred),
► Senior level in Python, Databricks and PySpark; hands-on experience with all of these,
► Knowledge of Hadoop,
► Experience with Cloud technologies, especially Azure.
What gives you further advantages:
► MSc in IT from a high-prestige university,
► Knowledge of BI tools (PowerBI or Spotfire),
► Experience in multinational, highly complex projects, ideally in a senior data engineer or architect role,
► AI/ML knowledge and experience of working in close collaboration with data scientists.
