In Sweden within the Banking industry, we are actively seeking a professional to strengthen our team dedicated to Data Engineering
This is you
Several years of experience as a Senior Data Engineer, including both maintenance and new development
Strong expertise in SQL and hands-on experience building and maintaining ETL processes, preferably using SSIS
Proven experience with modern data platforms in Azure, ideally including Databricks
Experience with data transformation and modeling tools, preferably dbt
Strong interest in data from a business and user perspective, with an understanding of the importance of reliable and well-structured data
Proactive, communicative, and comfortable working in cross-functional teams
Experience from banking, financial services, or other regulated industries is an asset
Fluent in Swedish and English
This is your role
Manage, develop, and optimize the existing SQL-based data warehouse, including ETL processes built in SSIS
Ensure stable operations, high data quality, and accurate business logic to support reporting, analytics, and decision-making
Design and develop data pipelines in a modern Azure environment, with a focus on Databricks and scalable architectures
Transform and model data (e.g., using dbt or similar tools), ensuring quality, traceability, and reusability
Contribute to establishing frameworks, ways of working, and best practices for the future data platform (e.g., version control, security, documentation, and coding standards)
Work closely with BI teams, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data usage and translate requirements into sustainable technical solutions
