In this pivotal position, you'll design and implement cutting-edge data products that serve as the backbone for Swiss Re's digital transformation. Working at the intersection of business needs and technical solutions, you'll leverage Palantir Foundry and Azure cloud technologies to create scalable, efficient data pipelines and analytics applications that drive strategic decision-making across the organization.
Design and develop sophisticated data pipelines in collaboration with data users and cross-functional teams, including hands-on development and solution architecture
Integrate AI capabilities into our solutions using Foundry AIP and other advanced AI tools to enhance data processing and insights generation
Ensure data quality and optimal performance of our data assets in Palantir Foundry and Azure environments
Transform complex business requirements into high-quality, actionable data assets and capabilities
Deliver exceptional code primarily using PySpark/Python, SQL, and TypeScript, with focus on simplicity, reusability, performance, and maintainability
Collaborate seamlessly with solution engineers, data scientists, and product owners to create end-to-end data products that drive business value
As part of the Group Data Services within Swiss Re's Global Digital & Tech division, our InfoTech Data & Analytics team orchestrates an ecosystem of nearly 70 integrated data sources, providing Swiss Re with clear insights for strategic decision-making. Our diverse, international team spans three global hubs—Bengaluru, Zurich, and Bratislava—collaborating seamlessly to serve business worldwide. We leverage cutting-edge technologies including Palantir Foundry, Azure Synapse Analytics, and PySpark to engineer powerful, scalable data processing solutions that transform complex information into actionable intelligence.

7+ years of experience in data engineering, transformation, and analysis with proficiency in programming and scripting languages
Strong Python/PySpark/Scala skills along with in-depth knowledge of SQL
Hands-on expertise with cloud platforms like Azure or Palantir Foundry (experience with other cloud platforms is acceptable if you're eager to learn)
Understanding of AI concepts and experience integrating AI tools and capabilities for accelerated development
Conceptual knowledge of system design, data structures, scalable storage solutions, security constraints, and cloud infrastructure
Experience with data visualization tools and techniques
Knowledge of agile development methodologies
Experience working in financial services or insurance industries
Familiarity with data governance principles and practices
Background in implementing machine learning models in production environments
