Senior Data Engineer | Financial Services

We are looking to speak with Senior Data Engineers who have experience in designing and driving data integration pipelines, ETL and data management strategies across the business.

The Role

• Responsible for building, managing and optimising data pipelines
• Work closely with senior stakeholders and the wider business to build data knowledge and data solutions
• Design and build best in class processes to clean and standardise data
• Understand the needs of the business and identify, design and implement process improvements
• Transform, analyse and visualise data from a wide variety of data sources
• Support the data needs of multiple teams in a fast-moving environment
• Assemble complex data sets that meet functional and non-functional business requirements
• Support system integration testing, unit testing and data reconciliations.
  
• Maintain documentation to support the business and create reports

The Person

• 7+ years experience in Data Warehousing
• Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems
• Expert knowledge of SQL/T-SQL, SQL Server, Azure SQL
• ETL e xperience using Azure Data Factory Azure Synapse Databricks
• Experience designing data management processes and capabilities
• Knowledge of current data preparation, integration and metadata management tools and techniques
• Experience in ETL design, data warehousing, data modelling and data wrangling
• Experience in Python, R, Scala, Java
