We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to design, document, optimize, and modernize complex data landscapes. The successful candidate will play a key role in data modeling, reverse engineering, migration initiatives, governance, and cloud transformation projects. This position requires close collaboration with business, IT, and management stakeholders to deliver scalable and compliant data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform inventory, analysis, and documentation of existing data environments.
- Execute reverse engineering of Oracle database schemas and data structures.
- Design and maintain logical and physical data models.
- Conduct data profiling and improve data quality management processes.
- Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop migration strategies for centralized and cloud-based data platforms.
- Support integration projects across complex, multi-domain environments.
- Advise stakeholders on data architecture, transformation, and implementation best practices.
- Drive innovation in data management and modern data platform solutions.
Required Skills & Experience
- 6–8 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or Data Management.
- Strong expertise in Data Modeling and Data Concepts.
- Hands-on experience with PL/SQL and Oracle databases.
- Experience with data governance frameworks and data quality management.
- Proven track record in data migration and integration projects.
- Experience working with cloud and hybrid data architectures.
- Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
- Familiarity with modern data platform technologies including Snowflake and Databricks.
- Basic understanding of Machine Learning pipelines.
- Experience working within public sector environments.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with business, management, and technical stakeholders.
Language Requirement
- Dutch language proficiency required.
