The Senior Data Development Lead provides technical leadership across the entire data development lifecycle. This role serves as a key technical reference, ensuring architectural consistency, solution robustness, and delivery industrialization while maintaining alignment with established architecture, security, and governance standards.

  • Contributes actively to the definition of data solutions and the direction of technology choices.

  • Participates in technical breakdown, estimation, and planning, exercising expert judgment to diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges.

  • Ensures alignment with target architecture and proactively manages technical risks to safeguard long-term solution sustainability.

  • Leads technical coordination by planning and organizing development activities, assigning tasks, and guiding the team throughout the full lifecycle (analysis, development, testing, and deployment).

  • Works closely with architects and technical stakeholders, serves as the primary technical reference for developers, and intervenes directly in the code when required to secure timelines, resolve critical issues, and protect delivery quality.

  • Ensures platform reliability and delivery quality by establishing and overseeing rigorous code review processes.

  • Guarantees compliance with functional and non-functional requirements (security, performance, availability, logging, and error handling), drives deployment industrialization through robust CI/CD and version management practices, and actively manages technical risks and debt.

  • Contributes to the continuous optimization of data solutions in terms of performance, cost efficiency, and scalability, while strengthening DevOps and Data Engineering practices.

  • Maintains structured technical documentation and promotes knowledge transfer to ensure operational continuity and reduce critical dependencies.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Strong analytical and technical investigation skills, with a high level of rigor and a strong commitment to solution quality and reliability.

  • Demonstrated ability to mobilize and align development teams around common technical goals.

  • A passion for technology, platform industrialization, and continuous improvement.

  • Solid expertise in Data Engineering & reporting within hybrid and multi-cloud environments, including:

    • AWS: SDLF, Glue (Python & PySpark), S3, Lake Formation, Athena, IAM, Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, CloudWatch, CI/CD (CodeCommit & Git)

    • Azure: Azure Data Factory, ADLS, Azure DevOps, Azure Monitor

    • Legacy & Integration: SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services), SQL Server Agent

    • Reporting: Power BI

Requirements:

  • 3 to 6 years of experience in a technical leadership role in Data Engineering and Business Intelligence, with expertise in the technologies mentioned above

  • 6 to 12 years of experience in the design, development, and industrialization of data solutions

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

  • Professional proficiency in French and English (spoken and written).
