Job Description

Mission Overview:

Keystone Solutions is seeking a Senior Data & Cloud Architect for a consultancy mission at a client site. This role will report directly to the Chief Data Officer and will involve managing a range of data tracks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data architecture management.
• Oversee the tech roadmap and framework for data storage, integration, and internal and external data flows (both on-premises and cloud).
• Define data architecture and guidelines related to Java and COBOL applications for data storage and organization, as well as strategize the transition from COBOL to Java.
• Design data architectures and establish guidelines for data mining and statistics domains.
• Act as an advisor for PowerData tooling (dbt, Python, data integration).
• Lead the Python Centre of Excellence and Python quality reporting.
• Lead modern Data Platform projects.
• Design and implementation of data solutions.
• Project management/Product Owner responsibilities.
• Knowledge sharing with other federal entities.
• Ensure compliance according to IVC deliberation IVC/KSZG/24/114.
• Serve as a point of contact regarding IVC deliberation IVC/KSZG/24/114 internally for data.
• Provide advice for Microsoft Copilot regarding security and data.
• Collaborate closely with the enterprise architect to align data architecture with enterprise architecture.
• Advise on Secrets Management and IAM.
• Participate as a board member of the internal Cloud Center of Excellence.
• Engage in the Federal Taskforce for Public Cloud.

Requirements:

• Proven experience of at least 6 years in data management, AI, and Azure Cloud.
• Demonstrable experience of at least 3 years leading a team and recent experience in project management.
• Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing cloud data architectures and providing operational support.
• Experience in line with IVC deliberation IVC/KSZG/24/114.
• Certification in Azure Cloud and data engineering is expected.
