
The Senior Data Centre Operations Manager, will report into the Regional Operations Director.The primary function of the SDCOM job role is to lead and manage the day-to-day operations of Roosendaal data centre. You will lead the operational management team based at the facility to ensure that all electrical, mechanical, life safety and security infrastructure systems are kept running effectively & safely across the whole facility, this task will be achieved by ensuring all data centre infrastructure is maintained and operated in accordance with Colt Data Centre Services global operational standards.
The SDCOM will play a key leadership role in ensuring we deliver a comprehensive service to all our customers, in accordance with their service contracts. The SDCOM will be directly engaging with our customers; dealing with queries, new initiatives and generally assisting them where necessary to support their business needs. The SDCOM will be the lead role operationally & they will manage financial costs against operational budgets for the Roosendaal data centre. The successful candidate will drive value for COLT DCS by managing the operational team in all aspects of the day-to-day operations.

The successful candidate will need to have experience of working as a technical manager of a data centre. They will have experience of managing specialist contractors in data centre operational environments. It is essential the candidate has a solid technical understanding of electrical, mechanical, life safety and security systems and be fully conversant with Permit-To-Work safe systems of working. They must also be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of Health & Safety in the workplace. The candidate will have experience in dealing with customers in mission critical environments. Key to the role is the ability to make and develop plans for the team (and themselves), making sure these are performed in a timely manner.
It is expected the candidate will have a sound knowledge of data centre electrical/mechanicals systems, infrastructure, and engineering practices, as well as excellent customer service skills aligned with customer driven values
