Job Description

The Senior Data Analytics Engineer is responsible for analyzing field data to understand gearbox performance, identify trends and failure modes, and support corrective action definition and implementation. This role partners closely with engineering, service, quality, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to translate field observations and operational data into actionable insights. The position applies analytical methods, data validation, and technical judgment to support reliability improvement, root cause analysis, and product issue resolution.

EssentialResponsibilities:

  • Analyze field performance data related to gearbox operation, reliability, failures, and service events
  • Identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and potential root causes from field data and supporting technical information
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective action development for gearbox performance issues
  • Collaborate with engineering, service, quality, manufacturing, and program teams to align on issue investigation and resolution
  • Communicate with suppliers to gather technical information, clarify component behavior, and support corrective action follow-up
  • Work with internal teams to collect data, validate findings, and ensure timely issue escalation and closure
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytical tools to track field issues, performance metrics, and corrective actions
  • Prepare clear technical summaries and recommendations for internal stakeholders and leadership
  • Support reliability improvement initiatives through data-driven insights and continuous learning from field performance
  • Ensure data quality, traceability, and consistency across analytical outputs and reporting
  • Contribute to the documentation of lessons learned, technical findings, and process improvements

QualificationsRequirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Data Analytics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Experience in data analysis, field reliability, product support, engineering analytics, or a related technical role
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical data and draw meaningful conclusions
  • Experience working with large datasets, reports, and dashboards
  • Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and cross-functional internal teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills and sound technical judgment
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating with multiple stakeholders
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

DesiredCharacteristics:

  • Experience withgearbox, drivetrain, rotating equipment, or wind turbine field data
  • Familiarity with root cause analysis, corrective actions, and reliability engineering methods
  • Experience working in a cross-functional engineering or service environment
  • Knowledge of SQL, Python, Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytics tools
  • Strong customer focus and ability to manage technical follow-up with suppliers and internal teams
  • Ability to influence outcomes through data, communication, and structured problem-solving

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $113.200 and $188.800. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
