Position Summary

Heartland Consulting is seeking experienced Senior Data Analysts to support anticipated federal and commercial contract opportunities involving data analytics, business intelligence, Microsoft Power Platform, and process automation.

This position is ideal for candidates who have hands-on experience developing dashboards, applications, automated workflows, and data solutions that improve reporting and business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, transform, integrate, and analyze data from multiple sources.
• Design and develop interactive dashboards, reports, scorecards, and KPI tracking solutions.
• Build Canvas and Model-Driven Power Apps to improve or replace manual business processes.
• Develop Power Automate workflows for approvals, notifications, data collection, file processing, and recurring tasks.
• Develop and maintain Power BI data models, measures, dashboards, and reporting solutions.
• Build and maintain data solutions using Dataverse, SharePoint Lists, document libraries, Excel, and other approved data sources.
• Integrate Power Platform solutions with Microsoft 365 applications and other business systems.
• Perform trend analysis, data reconciliation, variance analysis, and KPI development.
• Gather requirements from stakeholders and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Create technical documentation, process documentation, and user guidance for developed solutions.

Desired Software & Technical Experience

Candidates should have hands-on experience with several of the following:

• Microsoft Power BI – dashboards, data modeling, DAX, and reporting
• Microsoft Power Apps – Canvas and/or Model-Driven applications
• Microsoft Power Automate – automated workflows, approvals, and notifications
• Microsoft SharePoint – Lists, Libraries, and Power Platform integration
• Microsoft Dataverse – tables, relationships, and application integration
• Microsoft Excel / Power Query – data transformation, analysis, and reporting
• SQL – querying and working with structured data

Experience with Tableau, Python, or UiPath is a plus but not required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing production dashboards, applications, or automated workflows.
• Experience integrating and analyzing data from multiple systems or sources.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience gathering requirements and working directly with business stakeholders.
• Federal government, DoD, or regulated-environment experience is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience preferred.
