Job Description

The Logistic & Distribution specialist is responsible for developing and implementing logistic projects, evaluating distribution channel costs, optimizing supply chain models, and managing contracts and SLAs. They establish and communicate supply chain policies, identify and mitigate risks, maintain master data, and implement technology solutions. This role requires strong project management, cost analysis, risk management, and data management skills, along with the ability to lead teams and adapt to changing circumstances.

HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE: • Develop and implement logistic projects: Lead the creation, development, evaluation, and implementation of various logistic projects aimed at improving supply chain efficiency and effectiveness.• Evaluate distribution channel costs: Analyze and assess the costs associated with different distribution channels to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize the overall supply chain budget.• Initiate and optimize supply chain models: Start and manage supply chain modeling programs to optimize network design, develop and assess scenarios by gathering necessary data and simulating outcomes, and implement approved changes by developing an implementation roadmap and monitoring progress to ensure successful execution.• Contracts and agreements: Draft, update, and manage contracts and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with suppliers and partners, regularly review contract performance, identify issues or opportunities for improvement, and implement resolutions to enhance supply chain operations.• Establish and communicate supply chain business rules and procedures: Develop, document, and communicate supply chain business rules and assumptions that guide decision-making processes within the supply chain.• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks: Identify potential disruptions and risks within the supply chain, assess their impact, and develop strategies to mitigate these threats. This may include changes such as contracts adjustments, relocation, sourcing strategies, security protocols, and process redesigns.• Maintain and manage supply chain data: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of master data sets and collect auxiliary data as needed. Publish reports to support planning, operation, measurement, and management of the supply chain. Key data categories include Master Data, Transactional Data, Collaboration Data, Metadata, and Performance Data.• Define and implement technology solutions: Identify supply chain data, information, and technology requirements. Develop and execute an architecture plan, select preferred technology solutions, and oversee their implementation.• Ensure data integrity and accountability: Maintain, improve, or retire technologies as needed, and govern data integrity and accountability within the supply chain.

• Leverage Artificial Intelligence tools and advanced analytics: Utilize AI-driven tools and data analysis techniques to improve demand forecasting, supply chain optimization, risk detection, scenario simulations, and decision-making processes.• Perform data analysis and reporting: Use SQL, Business Intelligence tools, and Power BI to extract, analyze, visualize, and interpret large datasets to support logistics, supply chain performance tracking, and strategic initiatives.• Utilize enterprise systems and productivity tools: Work with ERP systems and Office 365 applications to manage data, reporting, collaboration, and operational processes across supply chain functions.

WHAT’S SPECIAL ABOUT THE TEAM:• The team is dynamic and collaborative, focusing on optimizing the supply chain through innovative projects and data-driven decisions.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: • This position does not have direct reports; however, the individual is responsible for leading multidisciplinary teams, both internal and external.

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

• Project management• Cost analysis• End-to-end supply chain and logistics expertise, including supply chain modeling, distribution centers, logistics, planning, and in-store operations• Contract and policy management• Risk management• Data analytics and Business Intelligence, including data management, SQL, and Power BI reporting• Technology implementation and enterprise systems, including ERP platforms and Office 365 tools• Intermediate–advanced application of Artificial Intelligence• Leadership, teamwork, and adaptability• 5+ years of experience developing and implementing logistic projects, evaluating distribution channel costs, optimizing supply chain models, and managing logistics contracts

Education• Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration
