Job Description

Expleo is seeking Data Analysts to support a large-scale data transformation programme. Working closely with engineering and business teams, the successful candidates will help define, model and map data structures to support downstream data migration and ETL activities within a speciality insurance organisation.

This is not a traditional reporting or BI-focused Data Analyst role, instead focusing on understanding data points, object structures, relationships, and transformation requirements within a modern data platform.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and document complex data structures and relationship profiles.
• Define data models and mapping specifications, supporting transformations across a medallion architecture and creating defined Data Products.
• Support ETL design and implementation activities through accurate data analysis.
• Work with stakeholders to understand data requirements for business outcomes.
• Validate data definitions, transformations and outputs. Contribute to data cataloguing and other data management activities.
• Support data quality, governance, and security initiatives.
• Produce clear documentation and data artefacts.

Essential skills

• Strong data modelling experience.
• Experience defining and documenting data mappings.
• Understanding of data transformation and ETL processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work with both technical and business teams.

Experience

• Proven Experience working in Data Analysis or Data Migration projects.
• Experience with complex data models and large datasets, particularly Medallion Architectures on Databricks.
• Experience delivering Data Product concepts would be advantageous.
• Insurance experience would be highly beneficial.
• Experience working within Agile Data Engineering teams.
