About the job

The Greater China Financial Services Sales Team are seeking an experienced Solutions Sales Specialist to lead on direct sales of our award-winning SAS Data & AI solutions and services to prospective and existing customers in Hong Kong and Taiwan.

In this role, you will work closely with customer leadership to help organisations unlock business value from their data while addressing some of the most critical challenges in modern analytics and AI. You will shape strategic conversations around AI governance, ModelOps, DataOps, and the importance of trust, transparency, and responsible AI across the analytics lifecycle, guiding customers from vision through to real‑world impact.

As a Sr Solutions Sales Specialist, you will:

  • Develop data & AI business through building client relationships at senior level including but not limited to CAIO, CDO and CIO. This includes uncovering business needs, initiating and supporting GTM activities, helping integrate solutions sales strategy into overall account plans.
  • Prospect within assigned accounts to uncover business needs, qualify opportunities, and determine resources required for success.
  • Implement territory sales strategies, identifying high-potential accounts, advancing opportunities through the sales cycle, and forecasting timelines to close business.
  • Collaborate with pre-sales resources, virtual sales teams, account managers, and executives to ensure timely responses to qualified, high-revenue leads and strategic account development.
  • Prepare quotations, proposals, and contracts, working cross-functionally to finalize agreements and set delivery schedules.
  • Follow up with customers to monitor satisfaction, uncover additional revenue opportunities, and nurture ongoing relationships.
  • Develop and execute action plans to close business for high-potential accounts and further expand relationships within the territory.
  • Ensure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization's secure software development goals.

Required qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of data and AI ecosystem, competitive landscape, data lake infrastructure and modern data architecture.
  • Hands-on experience developing and executing enterprise sales plans to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth.
  • Strong ability to analyze and evaluate territory dynamics and develop sales plans; work independently as well as effectively in a team environment; relate technical and business concepts to SAS applications and user needs; and travel as needed to support business activities.
  • Proficiency in English and Chinese required.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, MIS, or other relevant discipline.
  • The ideal candidate should be a well-organized, confident, self-motivated, collaborative and creative professional who is passionate about innovation.
  • Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
