Job Description

Kepak is one of Europe’s leading meat processing and food companies. Headquartered in Ireland, we operate across multiple sites in Ireland and the UK, supplying retail, foodservice, and convenience food markets. We are proud of our commitment to quality, sustainability, and continuous improvement — and our Digital Technology & Innovation (DTI) team plays a central role in enabling that ambition.

We are investing significantly in our ERP, MES, Data, and AI capabilities as part of our group transformation programme, and this role sits at the heart of that journey. If you want to make a real impact in a fast-paced, values-driven business, we’d like to hear from you.

Kepak is seeking an experienced Senior D365 F&O Consultant to join the Digital Technology & Innovation (DTI) team in a senior capacity. This role has a dual focus: providing primary BAU support across Kepak Group and Meat Division Ireland operations, while also driving a programme of functionality enhancements planned for rollout over the next two years.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Business Systems Manager and will bring a strong Finance background, combined with a clear understanding of how D365 F&O integrates with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and supports end-to-end Order to Cash processes. This is a role for someone who wants to shape how a major Irish food business gets the most from its ERP investment.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Support — Group & Meat Division Ireland

  • Serve as the primary D365 F&O support contact for Kepak Group and Meat Division Ireland, resolving day-to-day system issues, processing configuration changes, and managing escalations from business users.
  • Partner closely with Finance teams across Meat Division Ireland sites to ensure D365 Finance modules operate accurately and in line with business requirements, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Cash & Bank Management.
  • Own the BAU support queue for Group and Meat Division Ireland, triaging incidents, managing prioritisation, and communicating clearly with stakeholders on resolution timelines.

Functionality Enhancements & Roadmap Delivery

  • Lead and contribute to the delivery of D365 F&O functionality enhancements across the two-year roadmap, covering Finance, Supply Chain, Order to Cash, and Manufacturing integration workstreams.
  • Analyse requirements, design solutions, and oversee testing and documentation for enhancements as they move through the delivery lifecycle.
  • Support the integration of D365 F&O with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), ensuring accurate flow of production data into Finance and Operations and alignment with process standards across meat processing operations.

Stakeholder Engagement & Governance

  • Lead discovery and solution workshops with Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations stakeholders across Group and Meat Division Ireland.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with the DTI team, IT Operations, Data, and BI functions to ensure D365 integrates effectively across the Kepak technology estate.
  • Partner with MES, Supply Chain, and Operations workstreams to align ERP capability with process requirements and Kepak’s wider transformation programme.

Requirements

  • Substantial D365 F&O Finance consultancy experience, ideally with full-lifecycle implementations and ongoing BAU support responsibilities.
  • Deep functional knowledge of D365 Finance modules: General Ledger, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash & Bank Management, and Financial Reporting.
  • Clear understanding of the Order to Cash process within D365, including customer orders, fulfilment, invoicing, and cash application.
  • Experience integrating D365 F&O with Manufacturing Execution Systems or similar operational technology, with an ability to understand and map process flows across the production-finance boundary.
  • Finance management experience within a Manufacturing, Retail, or Distribution business; prior experience in a Finance role is a strong advantage.
  • Strong understanding of ERP architecture, integration layers, and how D365 connects to wider business systems.
  • Experience working within a proven implementation methodology (Waterfall, Agile, or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI.
