About the Team

Wolters Kluwer’s Digital Experience Group (DXG) designs user-centered solutions across our global Tax & Accounting portfolio. In the Netherlands, we support tax professionals and accountants with mission-critical software that enables compliance, advisory services, and operational efficiency in a highly regulated environment.

Our UX team collaborates closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Data & AI teams to solve complex customer and business problems. We operate in multi-role, multi-product ecosystems where usability, trust, performance, and regulatory compliance are critical.

About the role

As Senior CX/UX Designer – Tax & Accounting Netherlands, you design end-to-end design for complex solutions within one or more products (e.g., Twinfield, Basecone). You are responsible for driving quality, consistency, and user-centered decisions from discovery through delivery.

You operate independently in complex problem spaces, facilitating workshops, synthesizing research insights, and translating them into intuitive, scalable solutions that support both user needs and business outcomes.

This role requires strong discovery capability, strategic thinking at multiple product level, and the ability to connect research insights directly to roadmap decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Design end-to-end design for a full product or major product area
  • Contribute to product visioning and long-term experience direction
  • Translate business goals and user needs into clear design strategies
  • Influence roadmap priorities through evidence-based insight tracking
  • Ensure alignment with regulatory and accessibility standards
  • Lead discovery and exploratory research for undefined or ambiguous problem spaces in collaboration with research.
  • Design and execute mixed-method research studies independently
  • Map mental models and journey pain points across multi-role workflows
  • Facilitate Jobs-to-be-Done Job Mapping sessions
  • Tie research insights directly to business outcomes and product strategy
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers and stakeholders in planning and decision making
  • Present clear, structured recommendations to stakeholders

AI & responsible Design

  • Integrate Responsible AI considerations into user flows
  • Apply prompting and LLM orchestration principles where relevant
  • Define UX and AI evaluation metrics to measure solution effectiveness
  • Ensure transparency, trust, and explainability in AI-enabled features

Requirements

  • 6–9+ years of experience in UX/Product Design, preferably in complex B2B or regulated environments
  • Proven experience leading end-to-end design for complex solutions
  • Strong discovery and strategic expertise in ambiguous problem spaces
  • Experience influencing product strategy through research and insight
  • Proficiency in Figma
