  • Investigate complex/sensitive security matters, develop security risk analysis scenarios and propose response procedures
  • Provide management with information to advise them of critical issues that may affect customer, or corporate objectives
  • May conduct work on complex projects that include writing requirements, architecture design, proof of concept, supervision of implementation, training of staff on security projects
  • Identify potential areas where existing data security policies/controls and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed including security testing and checks for appropriate cyber defense

  • Maintain knowledge of changing technologies, and provide recommendations for adaptation of technologies or policies
  • May provide coaching and guidance to more junior staff. May be consulted on people and department management issues
  • Evaluate and ensure appropriateness of tools used to automate day to day control activities
  • May ensure appropriate security management access and compliance control of systems and networks
