Job Summary

The Senior Account Manager supports West Liberty Foods’ sales by bridging communication between customers and internal departments. Acting as the "Voice of the Customer," this role ensures Sales, R&D, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Customer Service and Marketing receive the critical information and documentation required to deliver best-in-class service. Partners with Sales on reporting, communication, and relationship management for existing business. Leads product development initiatives through the DRIVEN process to ensure a seamless experience for internal teams and customers

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct point of contact for WLF customers; promptly responds to customer inquiries and requests.
  • Master the WLF DRIVEN (Defined Opportunity, Review Strategic Fit, In Development, Validate & Test, Execute & Launch & Next Steps) process, and their role within to ensure all project deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule
  • Administration of customer sites and paperwork in collaboration with other departments to ensure account specific audit, certification, and additional requirements are known and maintained.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to gather and compile information, requiring professionalism and attention to detail while allowing a unique opportunity to learn almost all aspects of the business.
  • Standardize processes and improve efficiency of department operations.
  • Prioritize and manage assigned product projects, clarifying and defining requirements, managing task execution, scheduling, conducting and documenting meetings, managing correspondence and tracking progress.
  • Provide operational continuity for the sales team during travel and client meetings.
  • Drive continual improvement in quality, productivity, efficiency and cost.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
  • Partner with all departments of the organization.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience is preferred.
  • Associates Degree is preferred
  • Become familiar with and operate efficiently within company information systems, to include QAD/Cyberquery for reporting, Salesforce for project and account processing and management, Tracegains for product specifications, and Google platform for communication management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, understanding the nuance of placing pressure and urgency, pushing the envelope to a discussion, but not coming across as aggressive or impolite
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment of continuous change and challenges.
  • Exercise collaborative skills and exhibit leadership qualities in gathering internal consensus within a cross-functional team.
  • Computer experience - Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides)
  • Strong attention to detail, time management skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Must be able to work extended hours and weekends according to schedule.
  • Compliance: Must practice good personal hygiene. Candidates must successfully pass a post-offer/pre-employment drug test, background screen, physical and E-Verify.
